Dr. Visit

Michelle had a painful 1600 liters ( alot!) removed from one of her lungs today and is resting at home now. She was in quite a bit of pain and needed some pain meds.

Good thing, alot of liquid removed , bad thing pain.

The scan showed that the other lung is carrying as much liquid which can be removed when she is up to it.

  5. Thinking of you every day, all the time. You are in the prayers (and hearts) of the entire staff at my school each morning before work. My friend who is a cancer survivor asks about you constantly. We are lifting you up and asking for healing for your body. I hope you can feel this collective hug my friends and I are sending. Stay strong, my Auntie. I love you.

    "Excellent ! I cried."
    "Elementary! my dear Watson"

I'm thinking of you and praying for you everyday that you will soon get your health & strength back. I'm looking forward to working with you again on some family history cases.

    With love,
    "Watson" (aka Susan L)

  7. Dearest Michelle,

Chemo buddy. Fun-lover. Ever-smiling. Artiste extroardinaire. Thursday night Group-ie. So many names fit you, but I think of you as my dear Michelle with the "golden light". Just know that golden light has not gone away. It is all around you and in you. Cling to it and bask in its warmth and comfort. Although I am 6,000 miles away in Switzerland right now, I am there with you, holding your hand and singing a song. What would it be? I will be back home in a few days and will write again. Till then, rest, my weary angel.

  8. Brenda, that was a beautiful note...."Michelle with the 'golden light.' " Nice. I call her "sunshine" because I can feel her light, too.

Michelle, I am thinking of you today with love, admiration, and compassion....

  10. Michelle,
Speed channel paid tribute to you when they talked about you and about your valiant fight with cancer. They did a nice closeup of the car and your name & ribbon. Thousands and thousands of people you've never known were thinking of you yesterday.
    Love,
    Susan L.
P.S. Team Gunnar fought valiantly yesterday to complete the race. When obstacles come, rise to the occasion. You are all awesome.
